Certified Food Protection Manager training
JTAK Food Safety Services
General Food Safety training for employees
Food facility audits and Food Safety Management plans
Alaska DEC requires most retail food establishments to have a Certified Food Protection Manager on staff. When that person is not present, a designated person in charge (PIC) must be present. Do your PIC's have the knowledge needed to recognize and prevent food safety hazards from occurring? Wouldn't it make sense to have more than just one CFPM?
JTAK Food Safety teaches the CFPM course developed by the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA). The NEHA course is updated every three years to incorporate regular revisions to the FDA Model Food Code. Prometric exams, which are nationally accredited by the American National Standards Institute are included in the cost of the course.
JTAK is also able to proctor online ServSafe exams, if you purchase your own online voucher.
This course can be taught during a one day, 8 hour course, or split into 2-3 evenings during the weekdays for flexibility.
$ 165 plus tax per student, includes handbook, exam, and proctoring fees.
10% discount for military/veterans, 20% discount for active VFW Members
Are you putting your business in jeopardy?
How much did your employees really learn from taking the Alaska State food worker card exam online? Are you confident in their knowledge of food safety?
JTAK Food Safety has developed numerous educational presentations on general food safety as well as specific food safety topics and can present them at your facility.

Are there gaps in your food safety practices? How often does a DEC inspector visit your facility? Even when they make it, they only get a snapshot of how the facility was for the short time they were there. Budget constraints have limited the frequency and duration of ADEC inspections.
JTAK Food Safety can perform a full facility audit of your business. Afterwards, the auditor will debrief you on everything noted during that audit. Based on that audit, JTAK can assist you in developing a food safety management plan which uses the three-tiered method of Policy, Training, and Verification.
$450 is base charge and includes up to 4 hours time at your facility. Additional time is billed at $115 per hour, in half hour increments.
